Membership of the water company schemes WIAPS (England and Wales) is free. There are charges for membership of the other schemes, but the trade and professional bodies offer added benefits and support for your business.

APLUS stands for the Anglian Water approved plumber/contractor scheme. It is an Anglian Water accredited scheme which ensures the plumbers/contractors you use comply with the mandatory Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999.

WaterMark is administrated by Severn Trent and in order to become a WaterMark member, a plumber has to show they have been suitably trained, that they have adequate knowledge of the regulations through passing an assessment and that they have sufficient public liability insurance cover.
