WaterSafe - which primarily aims to keep households’ drinking water safe by promoting approved plumbing businesses - has appointed a top team of PR specialists in the water industry to spread the word.
The team at Create 51 has been brought in to help raise awareness of WaterSafe’s vital plumber-finding service with the public.
WaterSafe is recognised as a one-stop shop, bringing together thousands of qualified plumbing businesses in the UK and offers an online search facility for households to find qualified plumbers in their area.
Every plumbing business on the WaterSafe website is a member of an approved contractors’ scheme, which means their employees are trained to meet the strict regulations for installing the pipes and fittings which supply drinking water to homes and businesses
Following its successful launch in 2013, WaterSafe has now employed communication specialists Create 51 to help promote its web-based services and wider brand profile to households across the UK.
Create 51, based in Sussex, is a communications agency whose directors have extensive experience as journalists and in digital media but are also renowned specialists in the water industry.
Rebecca Burgess, Director of Create 51, said: “We are delighted to be working with WaterSafe to help raise awareness of the importance of using qualified plumbers. Having worked in the water sector for many years we know this is an important message for customers.
“We want all householders to know WaterSafe is the place to go next time they are looking for a trusted plumber to work in their home.”
Julie Spinks, Director of WaterSafe, said: “Since its launch two years ago, WaterSafe has gone from strength to strength and has registered thousands of businesses who employ plumbers with the stringent qualifications needed to work safely with drinking water fittings.
“Now we want to make sure householders are aware of this invaluable, and free service, to help keep water supplies in the UK as fresh and healthy as possible.”
During the next 12-months, WaterSafe and Create 51 will be working with key partners to help raise awareness of the online directory, which is backed by all the UK water companies.
