WaterSafe, the UK body for approved plumbers, is launching a multi-channel advertising campaign to highlight the importance of always using an approved installer.
Timed to coincide with World Plumbing Day on 11 March, the campaign will help consumers all over the UK make better choices when it comes to finding a qualified, trusted plumber.
WaterSafe has created a short, animated film to front the campaign, which will be premiered on Google, Facebook and Newsquest media digital channels.
WaterSafe is a central register of more than 5,500 approved plumbers, supported by all the UK water companies and the drinking water quality regulators.
The NHS uses WaterSafe approved plumbers as they have specific training in Water Fittings Regulations and Byelaws, which helps prevent the risk of contamination of drinking water.
Clean water is fundamental to good health and is at the heart of daily activities – drinking, cooking and washing. Take a chance on your installer and you could pay the price – not just with the health of your water, it costs an average of £426 to fix a bodged plumbing job.
Julie Spinks, director of WaterSafe said: “World Plumbing Day celebrates the important role that qualified plumbers play in protecting public health, so it’s the perfect time to launch our advertising campaign.
“With WaterSafe you can have complete peace of mind about your plumber’s training and a commitment their work meets safety standards. The bestway to keep drinking water safe is to pick a plumber approved by WaterSafe.”
