WaterSafe is proud to announce that the website is now live! Take a look for yourself, log on to WaterSafe.org.uk. We hope you will enjoy the extra promotion and your new status as WaterSafe Approved businesses.

All WIAPS members who asked to be listed will now feature in postcode searches. There will also be regular newsletters sent out featuring WaterSafe updates and industry news - if you have not already signed up to receive these then you can do so here.

WaterSafe launch success!

 

THE official consumer launch in London on Tuesday (October 8) was a huge success! Representatives of Water UK, the Worshipful Company of Plumbers and the water supply industry were there to kick-start the public launch of the scheme. 

Guest speakers at the event, included; WaterSafe chairman, Chris Sneath MBE, Kevin Wellman, CEO of CIPHE, Water Regulations Advisory Scheme MD, Julie Spinks and Andy Foster from the Trading Standards Institute. 

Next, regional launch events will be run across the UK with extensive media campaigns involving, radio, TV, lifestyle magazines and a variety of other media. Look out for Alice Beer as she is our new face for WaterSafe!

Alice will be talking on local radio stations across the UK about the scheme following the London launch so tune in today (Thursday, October 10th). Alice also appeared on Sky Sunrise breakfast TV show at 7.10am this morning to talk about WaterSafe.

New WaterSafe course announced


WATERSAFE has joined forces with a certification body to launch a new course for seasoned plumbers hoping to join the WaterSafe Installers' Scheme.

The new qualification will combine practical plumbing assessments with a water regulations test aimed at determining on-the-job competency.

BPEC and WaterSafe scheme organisers have been working together to devise the assessment which will give experienced plumbers an alternative route to Approved Contractor status on one of the seven Approved Contractors' Schemes in the UK - the first step to becoming WaterSafe Approved.
